Saturday 18 May, Day 15
Glad to see photos of democracy sausages on FB.
We walked to the station to buy tickets and breakfast, then
packed up and left the bnb about 12 noon. The train came at 13:00.
It was not crowded, and I got this writing up-to-date before 15:50 and Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria.

We followed our GoogleMaps blue spot along some pretty bad footpaths, until we came to the address given. I snuck through the front door when it was opened from the inside and went to 5th floor, but no apartment 18. I went to 6th floor, but there is a big wall and door right across the lift lobby, so I couldn't see if there were any apartment numbers. So I went back down to David and the bags. It was a pretty daggy dingy building, and I went for a walk and found the next building, no.156 was much nicer and maybe this was it, because it also had a door A, and a 5th floor and an apartment 18, but I couldn't get in.
The footpath at the door to no.150, quite typical, and not good for wheelie bags.

I accosted a father in the opposite playground, and he tried to ring the given phone number, but there was no answer. He was all for calling the police, since we were abandoned, but we didn't like that idea. (By this stage I had rescued David from the lift lobby of no.150.) I couldn't find another phone number, not even on the laptop, because, of course, we don't have wifi. But just then, out of no.150 came THE GUY - Radno. He was looking some lost Australians someone had told him about, and claimed us. Not much use being inside behind 3 locked doors when you are expecting guests.
So he showed us upstairs, and WOW, what an amazing, well equipped place this is. It sort of made up for the stress so far endured.
So we walked through the park to the local supermarket, past lots of families and and oldies enjoying the nice weather and fresh air and space that they don't have inside their apartment blocks. We made dinner - democracy sausages a little late - and checked on the disappointing election results.
