We had a free morning, so did the no.1 tourist thing, and got the elevator up the tower of the Palace of Culture and Science. This 'castle' was built for Warsaw by Stalin in 1955, and is the 6th tallest building in Europe, though tourists only go to the 30th floor. It houses museums, galleries and concert halls. Good views all around the city.
New developments in the city
Our bnb was in the back building, about where the dot is.
This photo is part of a display about WW2 in the tower. The tower in the photo would have been about where the exclamation mark is in the prev photo.
Looking towards the red roofs of the reconstructed 'old city'.
Looking down at the 2 Chopin pedestrian crossings.
David making use of the special Chopin ped crossing.
We came home via the All Saints Church which we thought has a big memorial for Chopin, but most of the inside of the church was covered by sheeting for work protection, and all the artwork was gone. When I was writing this for FB, I found out it was the wrong church anyway (Chopin's heart only is in Holy Cross).
We made lunch and took it to have a picnic near the river, then landed back at the Copernicus Science Centre with our booked tickets hot on our phones. Today there were lots of families, but we had a fun time doing experiments and testing ourselves and their equipment.
Reflex testing, catch the rods when they fall.

What it would be like to be big.
And then it was 19:00 and we were kicked out, and we had pizza.
